The short version: we collect what a doctor needs to evaluate you and what we need to help you register with your state. We never sell it, and we never share it with employers or insurers.
What we collect
- Eligibility answers — your state, the conditions you select, and what you've tried.
- Contact details — name, email, phone and date of birth.
- Visit information — notes and records created by your physician during your evaluation.
- Payment details — handled by our payment processor only after you're approved. We don't store full card numbers.
- Site usage — basic, aggregated analytics such as pages visited. We don't use advertising trackers on health forms.
How we use it
- To match you with a physician licensed in your state and schedule your visit.
- To help you complete your state registry application, if you're approved.
- To send appointment details, and renewal reminders if you want them.
- To meet legal, security and record-keeping obligations.
Who we share it with
Only with the physician who evaluates you, your state's medical cannabis program when you apply, and service providers who help us run the service (for example, secure video and payment processing) under confidentiality agreements. We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with employers, insurers or advertisers.
Health information
Health information you share for your evaluation is protected health information and is handled under the HIPAA privacy and security rules by the physicians and their business associates.
How long we keep it
We keep medical records for as long as state law requires physicians to keep them. Other information is deleted or anonymized when it's no longer needed.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or opt out of reminders at any time. Depending on your state, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and video visits run on a HIPAA-compliant platform.
